The GE-2200 Radio Remote Control System provides full remote control capability for the Glocom radios using field wire, fiber (external media converter required) and Ethernet capabilities for extended ranges.
All of the radio functions controlled by the radio itself can also be controlled by the GE-2200, including Automatic Link Establishment, frequency hopping and modem selections. The system supports a full range of data interfaces and maintains Engineering Order Wire intercom capabilities between remote and local operators.
Included in the system are two control units, Local Control Unit (LCU) and Remote Control Unit (RCU).
To meet your specific mission requirements, the GE-2200 can be fully interoperable with all the tactical radios which Glocom has brought out.
Glocom assures that the GE-2200 will be integrated to the Next-Gen radios to satisfy his users’ unique demands.
Voice Communication
The GE-2200 is capable of maintaining voice communication features of the Radio at remote location. RCU and the Radio have same audio interfaces so that audio devices and systems like headphone, handset, external speaker, etc. are used in same way once the connection is established between them.
Data Communication
The GE-2200 is capable of maintaining data communication of the radio at remote location. RCU and Radio have the enhanced data interfaces so that ethernet and Bluetooth enabled devices as well as legacy RS-232 devices are used once the connection is established between them.
Remote Radio Control
The GE-2200 is capable of controlling connected radio for remote operation. RCU and radio has same display and keypad. Once the connection is established between them, it is possible to display radio screen on RCU without any change. Furthermore, all keypad actions occurred in RCU are transmitted to the radio and display is updated in response. So, operator is supposed to use RCU just like using the radio itself.

The GE-2200 is ideal for covert and border operations when troops are under threat of attack. The Remote Control System allows warfighters to receive and transmit data and voice at up to 5 km—preventing adversaries from pinpointing locations of edge-warrior transmissions.
IN-VEHICLE REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM
The GE-2200 provides flexibility to locate the vehicular radio anywhere inside vehicle which might be unreachable by operators. It supports remote control of the radio, remote voice & data communications by using two-wire cable connection between radio and remote unit.
