Regarding the future military concept, GS-2500 C4I Soldier System, which is planed to be designed as a part of GS-2000 C4ISR system, is a wireless communication system that provides secure (encrypted) information exchange (such as friendly unit position, tactical command, voice, image etc.) between command & control units and infantry units.
This tactical communication system aims to increase the situation awareness and operation efficiency on battlefield.
GS-2500 C4I Soldier System will enable dismounted soldiers to exchange tactical information with command & control units and among each other.
This communication system will provide dismounted soldiers situation awareness and real time feedback capability on battlefield.
The control of dismounted soldiers against enemy forces on battlefield is very important. Especially in irregular and crowded battlefields, identification of friend or foe has a vital importance.
Information Exchanged
The unit which are aware of the location of friendly units can do their missions more effectively. The blue force positions are obtained via GPS and UHF triangulation methods.
Image transfer from/to battlefield will provide information about current situation of operation both in command and control level and dismounted soldier level.
GS-2500 C4I Soldier System has two encrypted voice communication channel. One channel for wide-network, one channel for local networks.
Even in the absence of voice communication, emergency situation warning are needed to be transmitted. Dismounted soldiers need to share their special situations such as “I got shot/wounded” with team members and control units.
The heart rate of the individual soldier is reported to the control and command unit continuously which provides the monitoring of the soldier’s health status.
Through the GS-2500 C4I Soldier System , commanders will be able to deliver the critical reference points, that are identified by several sources of intelligence, to infantry units on battlefield.
